Upcoming... Health Risks of Data Center Infrastructure, new working sessions, and the Service Lab rollout in Halt the Harm Network

Hello Reader,

We're almost half-way through January and the network events calendar is packed! There's still room of course, and new events are being added each week.

Here's a round up of upcoming events you might be interested in, from Public Impacts of Data Centers to the new HHN Services Lab Kickoff Call.

In about an hour, I'm hosting the first in a series of Network Café events – casual meetups for leaders in the network on various topics, often with special guest interviews. This week we'll be sharing some of the feedback from the network survey, and how it's shaping the year ahead. If you're working on oil & gas (and other related) issues, please share your insights, challenges, needs, and offers here.

Tuesday, January 13th

Network Survey Review

Join us for a collaborative session to review and discuss the insights from our recent network survey! We'll validate key findings, gather additional input from network members, and shape priorities for strengthening our community moving forward.

Time is displayed for your location on the event page.

Thursday, January 15

Public Health Risks from Fossil Fuel Infrastructure and Data Center Expansion

Data centers and cryptocurrency mining are driving new fossil fuel expansion across the U.S., often with serious, under-recognized public health consequences. In this webinar, researchers from Boston University present findings on health risks tied to fossil fuel infrastructure and data center expansion, and discuss what communities, advocates, and policymakers need to know.

Time is displayed for your location on the event page.

Tuesday, January 20

Getting expert support and offering your skills (HHN Services Lab)

This begins monthly networking calls where you can meet other leaders and hear about what's new. This marks the release of the HHN Services Lab, a place where you can find (and offer) expertise and services to others in the network.

Time is displayed for your location on the event page.

Wednesday, January 21

Site Selection & Land Acquisition for Data Centers (working session)

This is a Zoom meeting for leaders to share on-the-ground experience, tools, resources, and information. The outcome is a collection of refined tools and knowledge the whole network can use. As a participant you can access the shared document for notes and resources. Site Selection & Land Use.

Time is displayed for your location on the event page.

That last event listed is part of a new series of working group sessions hosted by Halt the Harm Network, and part of the new Stop Bad Data Centers project.

These working sessions require a completed profile in HHN. Please make sure you create an account today if you want to be included in these sessions. The next round of openings is Tuesday January 20th, in time for the next day's session.

Looking forward to seeing you at an upcoming event!
